Hazelmere Farm is a lowland mixed farm, with cattle, sheep and arable crops including peas, barley and wheat. Mr Platt has adapted his farming to achieve the best possible chance for biodiversity, while at the same time adopting sound Integrated Crop/Farm Management. This can be noted by the change from autumn to spring cultivations and a minimal spraying regime. Mr & Mrs Platt are dedicated individuals who go out of their way to help educate the public, demonstrated by their involvement with the Markland Trust.
