Monks Green Farm is a mixed holding of approximately 71 hectares that includes many interesting wildlife features such as a traditional hay meadow and two county wildlife sites (Bourne Wood and Monks Wood). There are also ponds housing great crested newts. Other rare species can be found such as dormice and rare butterflies. Arable land has been reverted to grassland and this has benefited wild flowers. A Celtic camp has been created which enables children to experience how the Celts lived using the natural surroundings.
