Rising Sun is a mixed dairy, sheep and beef farm. Currently milking 100 cattle with 200 young stock and approximately 400 ewes. Lambing time is from 1st April. Groups can see milk cows and calves in the dairy and lambing in spring. The farm has been on this site for over 200 years, extends over almost 150 ha and lies at 1100 feet above sea level. Traditional dry stone wall boundaries divide the fields and walling demonstrations are available. Tideswell Dale is part of a SSSI with diverse, species-rich grassland and archaeological features of interest managed under an agri-environment scheme.
