A mixed grassland and arable family-run farm with a variety of features and habitats that include: Prees Branch Canal SSSI and its associated water voles, an historic moated site, a number of wildlife ponds, nearby Whixall Marina. Native breeds of sheep are kept including Cheviots, Scottish Blackface and Jacobs.
