Priory Farm is a small grassland farm alongside the Lodden river SSSI. A wetland area is being created from former arable land to provide habitat for wetland birds and invertebrates. The grassland is being enhanced with wildflower seed and hay from a nearby SSSI. Activities include owl pellet dissection, quadrats and population surveys and implementation of stewardship schemes for habitat (waterside grassland). Also, environmental assessment: scoring on litter, noise, pollutants, weeds etc. Soil samples and transect work.
