The site consists of two areas: Quex Park which is on the Isle of Thanet and Kingsend Farm which is near Sandwich. Quex Park - this is on chalk based soil and the site is made up of an historic park of typical parkland scenery established at the beginning of the 19th century and more open country outside the park. The Stewardship is providing arable strips and new hedges and trees within the park and considerable new hedges and bridle path access outside the park. Kingsend Farm - this is marshland and Stewardship is providing arable margins alongside all the watercourses, traditional grazing meadows, new hedgerows and trees and pond creation.
