Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve

Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve covers 96 acres of moorland edge adjacent to Cambrai Lines at Catterick and has a remarkable mix of habitats and species, including deciduous and coniferous woodland, heathland, flower rich grassland, bogs, streams, ponds and a lake. Together they are home to more than 1900 species with new discoveries made each year. Using the network of paths throughout the site, visitors can experience the reserve’s wonderful diversity in the space of one visit – or come back as the seasons pass to see how nature adapts and changes.
