Lower Fairsnape Farm

Located on the Southern tip of the Forest of Bowland AONB Lower Fairsnape Farm is run by Robert and Anne Gardner. They are very enthusiastic about the wildlife which is attracted to the farm. Through their Countryside Stewardship Scheme, Forestry Commission agreement and new Higher Level Scheme they have created ponds, scrapes and broadleaved woodland.

The Gardners are happy to organise farm walks for local groups by prior arrangement.

The farm is important for breeding wading birds such as Curlew,Lapwing, Redshank, Snipe and Oystercatcher. Interpretation materials are available in the bird hide or the barn if the weather is poor.
