Standleys Barn Farm

A traditional run farm of 600 acres with conservation of the countryside a main factor, re-establishing, flower meadows and woodland pasture. Mainly a livestock farm but does grow cereals and fodder crops for animal feed. The livestock include, 20 Longhorn cows( the oldest native breed) 130 Stabiliser cows( the newest breed of cattle) and all the calves and followers. 200 ewes and some traditional Berkshire and British Lop pigs with piglets. There are a few rare breed chickens scratching around the yard. The farm has also established its own cutting room and butchery selling its own quality meat. Some small historical features, flood meadow, tramway, ridge and furrow, pottery industry.
