Midge Hall Farm

Midge Hall Farm is situated one mile from the village of Croston on the Croston Hall Estate, known locally as ‘The Moss’. The farm is approximately 175 acres or (71 hectares) growing potatoes, barley and oats. Midge Hall Farm has been in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme for 9 years which has enabled different species of birds and mammals to prosper including Barn Owl, Tree Sparrow, Grey Partridge, Lapwing, Brown Hares and Red Deer. Visitors can find out about the Environmental Stewardship Scheme and the link between farming and the environment. Visitors can also follow different crop growth stages and farming processes throughout the year - Sowing, growing, harvesting to supermarket shelf.
