Scald End Farm

Scald End Farm covers 85ha on heavy clay soil, 5 miles north of Bedford; with additional 160ha of semi-natural, species-rich grassland on Thurleigh airfield, managed by sheep-grazing and hay-cutting.

The farm is now fully organic, our aim is to be as sustainable as possible. We farm on a 7-year flexible rotation growing cereals, clover, grass, peas, beans and some fruit and vegetables. We run 400 ewes, 250 hens for eggs, and produce Christmas poultry.

The farm shop is for direct marketing of our produce, to control our markets. Produce we do not grow ourselves is sourced as locally as possible.
