Sacrewell is a 500 acre organic farm growing vegetables, cereals and fruit and is part of Riverfords successful organic vegetable box scheme.
We grow around 30 different seasonal fruit and vegetables, from Strawberries and lettuce through to pumpkins, onions and cabbages.
Soil fertility is maintained by growing grass and clover, grazed by sheep during the summer.
Wildlife conservation is an important feature of our land management and includes sites that provide wild seed for birds, habitat suitable for wintering waders and the creation of species rich, semi- natural grassland.
The farm also has an interesting historical dimension with archaeological sites dating back to the iron age, bronze age and Roman period.
