Feed Bristol is Avon Wildlife Trusts community food growing project. We work with a diverse range of groups to grow organic food in a wildlife friendly way, promoting health, well-being, out-door education and access to nature. This is a 7 acre small holding with a range of different facilities and habitat to explore. Communal growing spaces range from small plots to medium field scale production, with a range of poly tunnel providing sheltered work space.
Community groups and schools can book sessions and courses to learn about horticulture, wildlife and natural systems.
Everyone that works on the project earns a share of the harvest. All surplus produce is shared out to support other community projects such as homeless shelters, old people homes and to school to promote healthy eating.
