St Mary's Secret Garden

St. Mary's Secret Garden is a beautiful and accessible urban garden which hosts a community of expert horticulturalists and volunteers with years of experience. We offer a safe space where people with support needs and the local community can get hands-on experience of gardening, feel a sense of inclusion and receive the benefits of horticultural therapy. This helps those in need combat isolation, develop valuable employment skills, gain qualifications and contribute to a greener, healthier, happier community.

We welcome school groups to come for informal visits to look round the garden (please ring first to arrange) but we also offer educational tours of the garden tailored to the curriculum.
Our Garden Tours for local schools allow children to experience the garden first hand and cover a variety of subjects and suit differing ages of the children. We can only accommodate a maximum of 30 children at a time. Tours last between 1 – 1 ½ hours and cost £3.00 per child.
