Oaklands Park Farm & Garden

Oaklands Park is a rural community set within wonderful scenery overlooking the river Severn in the Forest of Dean. As part of the Camphill Village Trust we provide supported living accommodation and day service opportunities for adults with learning difficulties. We manage a 150 acre working farm as well as an 8 acre market garden. We work the land organically with a team of volunteers, apprentices and people with special needs. We also have woodlands, a woodwork shop and a café and weavery in the local village, Newnham-on-Severn. We offer guided tours and land based activities for school classes. The tours can be adapted to requests and can include picnic facilities as well as additional activities for a fee. The walk is at no cost and includes:
- A tour of our working farm with several old native breeds of sheep, our herd of shorthorn cows, various poultry, goats, Gloucester Oldspot pigs and horses.
- A tour of our Victorian Walled Garden where we grow a variety of mixed vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.
