Situated on the southern slopes of Swaledale, YHA Grinton Lodge is surrounded by stunning scenery and exceptional views of the Yorkshire Dales.
The hostel is a great base to explore the local area and offers a range of activities for day trips and residential stays. Activities include nature walks, cookery, meet the farm animals, bushcraft, archery, team games and more adventurous activities such as climbing and raft building. The hostel offers a Let's Get Cooking package focussing on food, farming and nature.
For walking holidays there are lots of routes throughout the Yorkshire Dales National Park for varying abilities.
The Youth Hostel is just a 10 minute walk from the village of Grinton and 40 minutes walk from Reeth. The larger historic market town of Richmond is 10 miles away. Richmond Castle is a must-visit tourist attraction and there’s a cinema, art gallery and heritage centre to keep you entertained.
