Great Tower offers a wide range of both land and water based activities. With the opportunity to build in as many or as few instructed activities into your visit as you like, the Great Tower team can work with you to plan the perfect experience for you and your group. Great Tower has extensive camping areas for both large and small groups and also offers five accommodation lodges. You can also talk to us about how we can support your catering and transport needs for a fuss-free stay. Planning a trip to the Lake District and taking part in some of Great Tower’s many activities is possible all year round. At Scout Adventures, we believe that great school residentials give pupils the opportunity to learn tangible skills, work collaboratively, develop responsibility and break down barriers with teaching staff. We call this method ‘Adventure’. For over 100 years the Scout Association has been using adventure as a tool to develop young people. ‘The residential visit was the best thing I’ve done as a teacher.’ We know that teachers are busy people. We appreciate the demands to meet curriculum requirements is a constant challenge and priorities are often quick to change. To this end, and following consultation with a wide range of professionals in education, engagement with Learning Outside the Classroom and Learning Away, we’ve created a range of adventure experiences that aim to support you to meet aims and objectives. Our packages are competitively priced, easy to book and residential experiences cover a range of subjects in the National Curriculum. Children attending our day and residential experiences are grateful of life changing experiences that stay with them long past the time they have left full-time education. They have fun, learn by doing and perhaps above all, teachers and pupils leave our centres with relationships that have strengthened.
