Gibside

Gibside is the National Trust’s fastest growing attraction in the North East, with visitor numbers increasing from 65,000 to 200,000 in the last ten years. Gibside is a Georgian 'grand design' on a spectacular scale. The vision of coal baron George Bowes, the Palladian chapel is an architectural masterpiece, the once grand hall is now a dramatic shell and the stable block is a vibrant learning and discovery centre.
