Pagham Harbour is a glorious and peaceful nature reserve situated 6 miles south of Chichester. There is a Visitor Centre and well equipped classroom, open all year round. The reserve has a wide range of habitats: saltmarsh, meadow, ponds and woodland. With a wealth of wildlife, beautiful landscapes and a rich historical heritage, it’s a great place for investigating nature.
The programmes, all of which are risk-assessed, are linked to the National Curriculum. Pagham Harbour’s Schools on Reserves scheme has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge which gives you the assurance that our scheme meets national standards of quality and safety.
We've got a classroom and outdoor shelter which is well equipped with learning resources. We can accommodate up to 3 classes each day
Our activities are designed to be hands-on and fun, with many opportunities to get your class closer to nature. With a range of habitats to explore, your class can search for minibeasts in the woodlands and meadows or look for special plants and creatures on the saltmarsh.
