Mayfields is a small 40 acre farm close to Reepham, owned by the Countryside Restoration Trust, a charity promoting wildlife-friendly farming. Several traditional and rare breeds of sheep are kept here, and the tenant farmer is a highly skilled sheepdog handler and trains working dogs. We also have a red squirrel breeding programme, bee hives, a fantastic raised bird hide and two established ponds. Activities include habitat exploration, birdwatching, pond dipping, farm trails, learning about wool, planting and soil related activities and sheepdog demonstrations.
