• Educational Visits and Trips
Engaging, inspiring and interactive fieldwork visits. These hands-on, curriculum linked day programmes are offered from a variety of locations or we can design something for your group from a location of your choice. The activities are fully resourced, planned and led by our experienced visit leaders for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. Charges are £60 day rate plus £6 per child per day.
Key Stage 1 visits include:

~ History - The Strutts, a significant family from Belper
~ Geography - Get to know Chesterfield
~ Mathematics - Infant Architects
~ Art and Design - Urban Art and Design
~ Religious Education - Chesterfield at Christmas

Key Stage 2 visits include:
~ History - Roman Times in Chesterfield
~ Geography and History - Town Settlements
~ Geography - Understanding Chesterfield
~ Design Technology - Towers, Pulleys and Construction
~ Geography - Investigating Rivers
~ Geography - Geography Skills
~ Science - Habitats
~ Design Technology - World Heritage Engineers
~ PE and Geography - Awesome Orienteering
Key Stage 3 visits:
~ Geography and history - Investigating Chesterfield
• Tailor made fieldwork at a location of your choice Let us come to you! We'll create a fieldwork session and lead your group in your local urban area, on your school site or on a nearby countryside site. This can be on a theme of your choice, but could include: Art, architecture and heritage; Team building and woodland fun days; Building detectives; River studies on a stream or brook; Local history study; Orienteering, map and compass work; Habitat and wildlife work; Fieldwork skills; supported visit to a local museum, art gallery or church; specific annual events. Charge: £535 per day.

The Forest Schools philosophy is to engage and inspire individuals of any age through an ongoing programme of positive experience and participation in achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment.
