Sweet Tree Fields Farm

Sweet Tree Fields Farm is a 14 acre Care Farm and Forest School provider in North London. We welcome mainstream and special education needs school groups on tailored courses involving livestock handling, donkey grooming, bushcrafts, horticulture, woodland crafts and outdoor campfire or pizza oven cooking. Our DBS checked staff have experience working with all abilities and providing safe, fun and educational activities which include all participants. We have a yurt (circular tent) heated by a log burner for classroom based learning and a large undercover area for craft making. There is parking for minibuses and a compost toilet. The wood is around 4 acres with grazing paddocks of around 6 acres, a fire pit and BBQ area and ponds.

Pricing

Each session is designed around the group needs and educational aims. Whole day sessions or split sessions can be arranged including or excluding lunch. A typical short visit for a group of up to 15 students with teacher support is £170 for a 2 hour session. We also run a weekly regular Care Farm day for adults (16+) with learning difficulties which is £65/day including lunch.

Our approach is entirely flexible. We have a wealth of experience delivering educational and team-building sessions on the farm. Activities will depend on the season and the ability of the group.

We follow the Care Farm UK Code of Practice for providers of farm facilities for people with learning difficulties and special needs. We are also in the process of applying for the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.
