The Countryside Conservation Centre@ Carn Entral Farm Brea

We are located in west Cornwall`s post industrial mining Wold Heritage Site (WHS), within walking distance of Camborne. The home farm consists of 16 acres of hilltop sloping permanent organic pasture, two acres of native woodland plantation, wildlife friendly coppice(planted 6 & 16 years ago). On the smallholding we grow our own vegetables and keep a few native traditional. rare breed sheep, cattle & ponies and a few geese & chickens. Jacqueline Merrick (the farmer & landowner), is an experienced & qualified educational conservation field ecologist & Forest School practitioner. She has been recording and monitoring the wildlife on the land for almost 30 years. We also have an active badgers set and ancient well on the farm
