Breckenholme Education, in conjunction with Uncleby Education Centre, welcome school children to free 'Farm Discovery Days'.
Based in the Yorkshire Wolds with easy access from York and the East Coast, our Farm Discovery Days offer FREE support to primary, secondary and Special Needs schools, helping to get children out into the countryside to learn about food, farming and everything in between! We are lucky to have the use of a fantastic Education Centre at Uncleby with a well-equipped kitchen, classroom and toilet facilities set in stunning countryside to be able to do this. We are very committed to giving opportunities to children in our area to learn more about how and where their food is produced.
We work in discussion with teachers so that we can make visits completely relevant and identify specific curriculum objectives, so our Farm Discovery Days are totally bespoke days created for you.
Currently our working farm at North Breckenholme Farm is undertaking some exciting developments, creating new facilities so children can visit both the farms at Uncleby and at North Breckenholme from Spring 2020.
