Wildgoose Rural Training Centre

Wildgoose Rural Training Centre

Wildgoose Rural Training offers people from all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to learn about and experience the beauty, honesty and excitement of rural life. We are a 'hands on' organisation that believe in learning through practical application. We have specialist tutors who work across the following subject areas: Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Care, Countryside skills, Cookery, Arts and Crafts, Mechanics, Woodworking and Conservation. Wildgoose was established in 2000, and since then we have built strong links with the local authority, social services, schools, colleges, national citizenship service, youth clubs and individuals.
We relocated to a new site in early 2019 and now have a fantastic 6 acre care farm site with a wide range of facilities to deliver practical learning experiences. We have also acquired a 36 acre wildlife reserve which we are managing for the benefit of our students, the environment and the wider community.
