A unique hands on learning experience at an innovative working dairy farm -
Our Cow Molly, Hilltop Farm, Dungworth, Sheffield. Delivered by Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust's Outdoor Learning Team.
Available as a full or half day hands-on learning experience, with multiple cross-curricular links delivered in a fun and engaging manner in a unique and exciting setting.
Our Half Day Learning Experience includes:
-An informative farm tour – includes behind the scenes access, unavailable on regular farm open days.
-Informative tour of the Milking Parlour
-Hands on experience of milking Molly – our working life-sized model of a -dairy cow
-Butter making activity
- Meet the calves, and learn about life cycles on the farm
-An interview with one of Our Cow Molly’s resident farmers
Our Full Day Learning Experience includes:
All of the above, plus:
-A hands on study of the soil health at Our Cow Molly, and identifying and classifying the creatures found there
-An investigation to discover the quantities a Dairy Cow needs to eat and drink each day
-An interactive session on the Human Geography around Our Cow Molly
-A thought-provoking study of Our Cow Molly’s supply chain, and how this affects their environmental impact
