RSPB Arne Nature Reserve in Dorset

The RSPB's Arne Nature Reserve is a few miles from Wareham surrounded by Poole Harbour and Purbeck. We have a great variety of habitats to explore including heathland, woodland, shoreline and meadows. The reserve is teeming with wildlife, making it an ideal place for all ages to explore and investigate. The programmes we run are linked to the National Curriculum and we can accommodate up to 2 classes each day. Each programme is designed to last two hours, and two programmes can be combined, or with a self-led activity, to make a whole day visit.
From September 2019 your school can benefit from free, staff-led visits to on a nature reserve! Take part in a scientific study, go on a seasonal scavenger hunt, create a colourful collage, or discover which creatures call these amazing habitats their home, plus many more hands-on activities.
