Wyre Community Land Trust

St Georges farm, Ruskin Land is situated in the Wyre Forest near the town of Bewdley in Worcestershire. Owned by the Guild of St George, Ruskin Land is managed by the Wyre Community Land Trust.
Our 5 acre orchard was restored in 2015 with the planting of 136 fruit trees of varying varieties, we also have a one acre wildflower meadow where we carry out botanical surveys. Our 53 strong herd of Dexter cattle carry out a conservation grazing programme working to help improve the biodiversity of the Wyre forest, its traditional orchards and wildflower meadows.
We also utilise the oak we harvest through the sustainable management of the forest to make firewood and a range of wood products using our sawmill on wood workshop.
Our sites location and make up mean we can offer a wide range of educational activities from learning about the history of the Wyre and woodwork to arts and crafts and woodland walks.
