The Countryside Education Trust has been running successfully for 45 years, connecting people with the countryside. Our residential centre is at Home Farm in Beaulieu. Here our guests collect their own eggs and vegetables, help the farmers with the animals, and enjoy the local countryside. We always spend some time in the woods nearby at our other base, award-winning treehouse classrooms set in 60 acres of private mixed woodland. We have fun with shelter building, archery, and pond-dipping amongst other activities, and exploring our cob cottage. As we are based on the Beaulieu Estate, many groups like to head to the National Motor Museum, the Abbey and Palace House, or we walk to Buckler's Hard, an 18th Century Shipbuilding Village, in an idyllic setting on the Beaulieu River.
Residential Centre: - The dining area, kitchen and conservatory lie at the heart of the building. Two corridors lead from this hub, each with four group rooms and two twin rooms. Group rooms comprise two sets of bunk beds, with the opportunity to add additional beds. Each wing has shared toilets and showers, and a private, wheelchair accessible toilet/shower. Our usual groups size is around 32-34 but we can cater for larger groups. The maximum number per visit is 41 children. We are happy to take half week bookings from Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday: some schools take the whole week and swap groups mid-week.
The centre is also available for weekend hire for schools, clubs, groups of friends or colleagues and families.
