Elm Farm

Elm Farm

Elm Farm is a small and friendly family farm set in the lovely village of Stratton Audley.
Elm Farm has been owned by the Goss family for over 100 years, and in this time it has mostly been a dairy farm. Simon Goss, the current owner, oversees his small herd of around 80-100 cows, caring for them in the winter when on the farm and also in the summer when the cows are in the field. When he is not with the cows, Simon is around the farm growing wheat or barley for the cow feed. We are also home to two ducks, Ken and Deborah, a cat called Nala, and 3 Jacob sheep. At the heart of the farm is the herdsman, Robin, who has recently celebrated his 70 year anniversary working at Elm Farm, where he started at the age of 14!
There is lots to show students when coming to the farm. They can interact with the livestock, see the tractors, and even try out milking themselves on our wooden practice cow! We hope that any visit to elm farm will be interesting, educational, and most importantly, enjoyable.
The farm also runs a small accommodation business for short term stays, which can be booked online or via calling the farm directly.
