Houghton Farm

Houghton Farm

Situated within walking distance of Amberley train station and the river Arun, Houghton Farm is ideally suited to welcome day and residential visitors thanks to the recently converted Southdowns Bunkhouse.

Visits to the farm can be tailored to meet the specific learning needs of the group, although many focus on how farming and food production can work alongside nature. Visits can include a tractor and trailer ride around the farm, exploring the beautiful water meadows, woodlands, arable fields, downland and meeting the beef herd.

The farm provides the perfect venue for a variety of visits, whether it is bug hunting, discovering the many different soil types found, habitat management, land use or the impact of the global commodity market - all ages can be catered for.
