LEAF Education

Our partner, LEAF Education, is thrilled to be represented at the forthcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October - 12 November 2021. The charity have been invited as part of their work with Sainsbury’s, in collaboration the two organisations have produced the Sainsbury’s Global Farm Project, which seeks to give a voice to farmers and food producers from across the globe. The project has culminated in the development of  a number of classroom based resources for schools to use – separated in to Primary and Secondary with clear National Curriculum links across a variety of subjects. These resources can be used as standalone lessons or as a suite of informative and engaging discussion points and activities.

You can find all of these resources, plus hear from the global farmers at www.sainsburysglobalfarm.com

Furthermore, we have brought together in one complete package our resources on Sustainability – ‘Climate Change: Working together for a safe and healthy world’ it highlights a variety of contemporary resources around farming and the environment and then how climate change impacts on food. You can find this resource on Countryside Classroom HERE

Working together with the wider LEAF team we have also developed a Climate Change: What can we do to help? Broken down into sections titled: farming, eating and living. We have included some wonderful stories direct from the farm for the public to better understand what our farmers are doing to help our planet and to grow more sustainably produced food.
