Composting plastics experiment

Most plastic will not decompose in a compost or muck heap. Common sources of plastic in compost heaps include teabags and sticky labels left on fruit skins.
The first experiment will explore how much plastic is in your compost or muck heap.
The second experiment will explore how compostable certain plastics really are. A plastic that claims to be compostable should biodegrade in a specific time scale.
