Help children to choose their food wisely and develop their cooking skills with this week's range of resources and healthy recipes.

Ages 4 - 6

  • Help your students learn why choosing Fairtrade bananas can make a difference to a banana farmer's life with this brilliant B is for Banana produced by Earth Cubs. Then why not follow up your learning about fairtrade bananas with this easy Berry & Banana Smoothie Bowl recipe produced by Waitrose?

  • Use this Design a Healthy Breakfast plate template produced by AHDB to ask children to draw what they believe is a healthy breakfast. This can then generate a discussion about healthy breakfast foods and the different types of foods that should make up our diet – you can use the Eatwell plate to help.

Ages 7 - 11

  • Use this resource produced by School Food Matters to transform your school meals with these super Six Top Tips for getting started on a new school food contract.

  • Did you know that good gut bugs help with improved mood, concentration, behaviour, food cravings and immunity? Use this Wellbeing through Food Awareness resource to blast as many bad gut bugs as possible by making healthy choices using Battle Boards.

Ages 11 - 16

  • Positive food choices can have benefits for health and the environment, this Helping Everyone Eat Better resource also produced by LEAF Education is designed to help students become informed consumers of the future!

  • Helping children recognise different vegetables and fruit, and what they do for our body encourages children to try healthy food. This gorgeous poster produced by Food For Life can be downloaded to decorate the eating area or classroom.
