Countryside Classroom

Join hundreds of schools up and down the country who will be delivering fun farming themed activities to help students explore the world of agriculture!

Ages 4 - 6

Ages 7 - 11

  • AHDB has produced these Farming Food For You posters to show life on the farm – how animals are reared and cared for, and how crops are grown and harvested. The six posters explore different farming sectors – dairy, beef, sheep, potatoes, cereals and pork.
  • Have a look at this amazing Why Farming Matters Resource pack which has an amazing range of activities linked to the curriculum to encourage pupils to start investigating why farming matters.
  • Use this A Year in Farming Calendar to begin to learn about British seasonal produce, and make links between British food production, farming, and the environment within your school topics and curriculum.

Ages 12 - 18

Don't forget you can also find out more about British farming and ‘farming with nature’ by visiting a host farmer on Open Farm Sunday - 8th June 2025.
