FACE Regional Co-ordinators can provide suggestions for places to visit, especially farms, and can put teachers in touch with farmers who will go into school.
Samantha is an experienced and practising primary teacher who works with farmers hosting school visits and helps teachers and student teachers to incorporate farming and countryside topics into their teaching. In particular she has worked with university departments and local farmers to create meaningful training sessions for trainee teachers.
Samantha is an inspirational group leader and has worked with schools to develop, for example, science weeks centred on food, farming and countryside topics. Her current teaching knowledge ensures everything meets the needs of individual schools.
If you have ideas you want to discuss or just need to find out how FACE can help in the West Midlands region, please get in touch with Samantha. She'll be pleased to help.
