This workshop is completed by growing microgreens, giving pupils a hands-on opportunity to observe plant growth over time. Pupils will also be shown how to make a recycled watering can. The seedlings can be taken home or grown at school, enabling pupils to see how plants change and develop. This practical activity demonstrates how easy and enjoyable it can be to grow seasonal food while reducing food miles, packaging, and transport-related pollution. The session also reinforces the importance of healthy eating and caring for the environment.
